911災難、禽流感、「沙士」疫症… 廿一世紀人類從各類災難中，汲取更深刻的生命教育，唯有「知死」（認知死亡）隨時不邀而至的事實，方能尊重生命，「知生」而活。
曾經有觀光客去拜訪波蘭有名的猶太學者海飛茲。觀光客很驚奇地發現，這位學者的家只是一間擺滿書的簡單房間，唯一家俱是一張桌椅和另一張長椅。觀光客問：「先生，你的傢俱在那裡？」海飛茲回答：「那麼你的傢俱呢？」觀光客不解的說：「我的傢俱？我只是來這裡的訪客啊！」這位學者回答說：「我也是！」
∼真是一言驚醒夢中人！
「夫天地者，萬物之逆旅，光陰者，百代之過客。」不管是六十年，八十年，人究竟只是地球短暫的過客而已！人一生最後能留下來的，不是費盡心思積聚在身邊的財富，其實我們唯一能擁有的就是我們付出去的東西，以及我們分享給世界在人間流傳的善意啊！
